Mary Walters’s 50-year nursing career has been predominately maternal-child focused with clinical, academic, and administrative roles. Eleven years ago, she helped roll out relationship-based care at Grant Medical Center, which evolved the culture of the entire OhioHealth system. Five years ago, sher served as a member of Grant’s Caring for the Caregiver Committee. During this time, Schwartz Rounds were implemented and are now are provided on three additional campuses. She currently serve as Grant’s coordinator of the Unit-based Schwartz Rounds pilot and has facilitated more than fifty unit-based sessions over the last two years.
